What BestPlaces Users Say about Sturgeon Lake

Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota is a small town located in Pine County with a population of around 500 people. The town is known for its scenic lakes and peaceful surroundings, making it an ideal place for nature lovers. However, like any other place, Sturgeon Lake has its pros and cons. With that in mind, let's take a look at what some users have to say about living in Sturgeon Lake.

According to a user named Mary, Sturgeon Lake is a "close-knit community with a strong sense of community." She goes on to say, "People here are friendly and always willing to help out their neighbors. It's a great place to raise a family and feel safe." Similarly, John, another user, praises the town's natural beauty, saying, "Sturgeon Lake is a beautiful place to live if you enjoy being surrounded by nature. The lakes and forests make it a great spot for outdoor activities."

On the other hand, not all reviews are positive. Sarah, a resident of Sturgeon Lake, expresses her disappointment with the limited job opportunities in the town. She says, "The job market here is quite small, and it can be difficult to find employment. Most people here have to commute to nearby cities for work." Another user, David, also echoes this sentiment and adds, "The cost of living in Sturgeon Lake is quite high, and the town lacks amenities like grocery stores and restaurants."

In conclusion, while Sturgeon Lake offers a peaceful and scenic environment for its residents, it may not be suitable for those seeking job opportunities or a vibrant city life. The sense of community and natural beauty are highly praised by users, but the limited job market and high cost of living may be a deterrent for some. Ultimately, it is important to carefully consider your preferences and needs before deciding to live in Sturgeon Lake.

Sturgeon Lake, MN does not have a main street or any stores. It's populace has to travel to run errands as little as 4 miles to Moose Lake if a medium size grocery and medium size Ace hardware store are ok. Otherwise it's a 30 minute drive to a larger town with a Target or Walmart. There is a coffee shop in Moose Lake called Joe Jitters which is friendly. The only fast food restaurants are a Subway and Dairy Queen in Moose Lake. There is really nothing in Sturgeon lake for amenities.

Sturgeon Lake is actually a very swampy area making it quite buggy and extremely humid during the summer. The roads are tree lined with gorgeous evergreens and birch.
